FAQ-Incorrect Critiques of Creationism and Creationists
There are 2 forms of creationism:
YEC (Young Earth Creationism) – also called 6 day creationism. This says that God created the entire universe & Earth in 6 literal Earth days. This is what most people think of when they say creationism.
OEC (Old Earth Creationism) – this has several different theories to it but the one common belief to all of them is that they believe in the long ages of the universe (about 13.7 billion years old) and Earth (about 4.5 billion years old). The various other names for OEC are progressive creation, the day-age theory and the gap theory.
To answer these questions & statements that evolutionists make about creationism, we will refer you to linked articles that answer them in greater detail.
This FAQ will concern itself with YEC only.
There are many people that I have run into that have made many false statements concerning creationists and creationism. Some of these statements are:
1… that creationists are not “real” scientists.
2… that only a few uneducated people believe in creationism.
3… that because most scientists don’t believe in creationism that it must not be true.
4… why should we teach creationism, which is a Christian concept, while not teaching the Hindu or Buddhist or some other religions view of creation?
5… that creationism is religious and it should only be taught in religion classes and not science classes.
6… creation scientists don’t contribute anything to science at all.
7… that creationists don’t publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
8… that creationists don’t make predictions like other scientists do.
9… that creationism doesn’t have any facts to back it up and so is not real science.
10…that creationism doesn’t use the scientific method.
Let’s answer them in the above order:

2…only a few uneducated people believe in creationism…incorrect, check out these poll numbers for the USA at http://news.gallup.com/poll/210956/belief-creationist-view-humans-new-low.aspx. Twice as many Americans believe in creationism than in Darwinian evolution. 3…because most scientists don’t believe in creationism, then it must not be true…scientific truths have NEVER been determined by a majority vote. 4… why should we teach creationism, which is a Christian concept, while not teaching the Hindu or Buddhist or some other religions view of creation? Because none of these other religious creation views are anywhere near being scientific. No science has sprung forward from these views. 10…creationism doesn’t use the scientific method. Ahh, but what is the scientific method?
To use the scientific method, you have to observe the event, make measurements of the event & repeat the observation and measurement of the event. You cannot do this for anything in history as you cannot observe, measure or repeat the event. So you cannot use the scientific method for evolution either. We must use the historical/judicial method of proof. This method is not 100% accurate. If it does lead to a conclusion, its only beyond a ‘reasonable’ doubt, not beyond any doubt. It goes to where a preponderance of the evidence leads.
Once you add up all the facts & observations about the creation of the universe and of life, then you can make a statement as to how it all came about. But it will be beyond a reasonable doubt but not beyond any doubt.
Now I’d like to show you some quotes made mostly by evolutionists about Darwinian evolution. These scientists are still evolutionists but they are now questioning the main evolution theory of Darwin. There will be some overlap.

As you can see, much of what is said about creationism and creation scientists is wrong. Creationism is a legitimate science and creationists are real scientists.
